Dear Nurse Peggy,
Was it my curls? My eyelashes? My charm? You see, we had a great relationship before that other woman came along. The doctor came in to autograph my ears with purple ink (so not my color) and he was followed by Nurse Kathy, who told my mom horror stories of cutting curls that never grew back on her own son. My mom won't let me go to that Cool Cuts place quite yet, for that reason. Anyway, that lady, Ms. Annie Seesalotofthis, gave me some good air to breathe. Next thing you know, it was all a blur... you were gone, Ms. Kathy was gone... I was sleeping well.
I'm sorry I acted the way I did. I was confused. After waking up, I had forgotten that relationship we once had, and I wanted my mom instead. I was feeling lousy, and quite frankly STARVING. I hadn't eaten in over 12 hours. My mom knew how to keep me happy. My Dad got a bottle ready for me and all was good in the world. After seeing that I was okay to go, we left! Didn't you see me waving 'bye' to you?
Thank you, Nurse Peggy, for being very sweet to me. Thanks for the "up on the head tummy tickles" and for letting me play with your Diego Ride-on toy. I loved your office chair the best. I have fully recovered from that morning's ordeal and have found new discoveries with my improved sense of hearing. Mom's vacuum and Dad's lawnmower were just a couple of the noises I heard during the day. I played on my rocking horse and even talked myself awake from a nap! Life is good.
Your favorite patient,
Devin
