Yep... It's the Chicken Park!

I think Donovan requests this park for the sand, not the chickens, but I enjoy the chickens more than that sand! Did you know that the Fair Oaks Chickens have their own Facebook Page? They have a lot to crow about! With a little break in the weather systems pushing through, we enjoyed the sunshine with the chickens (and children)!

Just some pecking chickens!

Devin braves the slide ALONE.

The sand crab.

Down and dirty.

A Munchkin Monday Emergency

Okay, okay, not really..... but the excitement was real!

Donovan and Devin love The Trampoline Place. I do too, on Mondays. I can't afford regular prices for these little ones. I love watching the kids test their balance and jumping skills on these massive, wall-to-wall trampolines. Cousin Vinny came along today to have some fun with us. But first, to let everyone know that he had arrived, he unknowingly (?) pulled the fire alarm switch on the wall. Classic! Gotta love those clever, red reachable pull tabs! As if that wasn't enough embarrassment for his dad, we all had to evacuate the building and watch the fire engine pull up and investigate the building (and turn off the alarm).

I think Vinny just wanted to see the Big Red Truck!

Like Father, like Son?

After the "all clear", we were allowed back inside and were given extra time on our wristbands for the interruption. Thanks Vinny! So, let the bouncing continue....

Vinny found an orange ball.

Vinny found a purple ball.

Vinny catches a yellow ball.

Next post: Guess where else we went on Monday? Here's a clue.....

Fishies!

We've been on a roll for cheap thrills lately, and this is one of our favorites. We visited the Nimbus Fish Hatchery today with other moms and had a blast feeding the fish and soaking up the beautiful day we had. This picture here reminds me a lot of the Pixar movie, Finding Nemo. It so happens that while I was pregnant with Devin, his interim name was "Nemo", because it meant "no name", and we hadn't decided on one yet for him. So here he sits in his own little egg. So cute! We fed a lot of steelhead trout in the hatchery today, but also had time to chase birds and play in the Big Fish. We enjoyed the company of other mommies and their little "fishies" too!

An Afternoon at Black Chasm Cavern

On Saturday we loaded up the car with the kids and the grandparents and took a road trip to see the Black Chasm Cavern. It is one of the caverns we had to see after purchasing our Passport Package that started it all. It was a year and a half ago that we visited Moaning Caverns. This trip was just as exciting, and just as painful for out-of-shape legs!

(... and I just lost the rest of this post because my browser crashed on me and lost it! How can I recreate my own work of art? It can't ever be done! I guess you just have to believe me, it was good!)

Devin gets wet in the flume.

The entrance/exit.

I'm not sure what I was thinking, but didn't bring my flash.
I like this one though!

Papa makes it out before Grandma.

Whew! It was a Wild Weekend! (and a Monday!)

But now, my car is fixed! Extra kudos to Uncle Chris (my bro) for his mechanic hands. He was able to stop the oil from spewing from my car (for the 2nd time since Friday). I am faithful the problem is now solved and I can drop Dominic off at school tomorrow and make it home without oil puddling in my driveway. What an adventure!

I missed my MIM run on Saturday knowing we were down a vehicle. Rudy and the boys had a workout at their Kickboxing class. However, we managed to squeeze into Rudy's car with the kids' trikes and scooters for an ultimate birthday bash at Safetyville USA. My sweet twin nieces turned 4 and my nephew turned 7. It was down right busy in that little town. Thankfully the forecasted rain held off long enough for the little tikes to run themselves ragged and loaded on sugar.

Grey skies are gonna clear up...

...(then come back again) so, put on a happy face!

We took advantage of this short break in weather systems around here. We got out of our slump and out of our PJs to enjoy some sunshine today. Donovan didn't want to stop playing. I hope we can do this again soon.
